Apple has officially announced the full program for this year's Worldwide Developers Conference. The conference runs from June 8th to 12th, 2026, with the keynote address starting on Monday at 7:00 PM CEST. This officially sets the date for the launch of iOS 27 and the next wave of updates for all major Apple platforms.

It's the most important software event of the year on Apple's calendar, and as of today, the program is finalized. Apple has released all the details for WWDC 2026: date, time, sessions, agenda items, and the official streaming options. Invitations to the international press have also been sent out. What will be shown on June 8th has already been outlined over the past few months – the core of the event will be software generation 27 (iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, watchOS 27, tvOS 27, visionOS 27), with a clear focus on Apple Intelligence, a revamped Siri, and refined Liquid Glass design elements. Anyone wanting to review the current state of expectations before the official start can find everything in our ongoing overview of all known rumors and hardware expectations for WWDC 2026.

The most important dates at a glance

DateEventTime (PDT / ET)
June 8Keynote10:00 AM PDT / 1:00 PM ET
June 8Platforms State of the Union1:00 PM PDT / 4:00 PM ET
June 9–12Sessions, group labs, developer forumsall day

The keynote starts at 10:00 AM Pacific Time, which is 7:00 PM CEST in Germany. Immediately following at 1:00 PM PDT (10:00 PM CEST) is the Platforms State of the Union – an in-depth technical session for developers, in which Apple presents the architecture behind the new platforms. Throughout the week, over 100 video sessions on tools, technologies, and design are scheduled, along with live Q&A sessions in the Group Labs and discussions in the Apple Developer Forums.

Where to watch the keynote

Apple will stream the keynote as usual via several channels. Three official channels are available:

  • apple.com (browser stream)
  • Apple TV App (on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV)
  • Apple YouTube Channel

The Platforms State of the Union event is also available via the Apple Developer app, the developer website, the Apple Developer YouTube channel, and bilibili. All content is available on-demand after the live broadcast – anyone who misses the first session can join later without any restrictions.

More than 1,000 guests at Apple Park

Unlike in the early years of the pandemic, Apple is once again welcoming a large group of in-person guests. On June 8, more than 1,000 developers, designers, and students are expected to attend the keynote in person at Apple Park. This format has become established since the return of in-person events: a live broadcast at the Steve Jobs Theater, followed by a communal viewing at Caffè Macs and networking on campus.

WWDC remains a free online event for the broad developer community. All sessions, Group Labs, and forum discussions are accessible without a conference fee – a model that Apple has consistently expanded in recent years.

Sessions, group labs, developer forums

The week's program consists of three main pillars. Over 100 new video sessions delve deeper into the topics only touched upon in the Keynote and State of the Union addresses. Group Labs are interactive online events where Apple engineers and designers answer questions from the community - participants can submit questions and upvote on the topics discussed. The Apple Developer Forums run throughout the week, covering diverse areas such as Apple Intelligence, developer tools, design, graphics, and machine learning.

Apple has set a clear timeframe for Group Labs: Tuesday through Friday, with a maximum of 60 minutes per session. This makes WWDC significantly more structured in the week following the keynote than it was just a few years ago.

Apple Design Awards 2026: 36 finalists

Running concurrently with the main program are the Apple Design Awards. This year, Apple has nominated 36 finalists across six categories: Delight and Fun, Inclusivity, Innovation, Interaction, Social Impact, and Visuals and Graphics. The list is available on the Apple Developer website starting today, and the winners will be announced in the coming weeks.

Swift Student Challenge: 350 winners, 50 of them in Cupertino

The Swift Student Challenge has also reached new heights this year. Apple is honoring 350 student winners from around the world, 50 of whom will be invited to Cupertino as "Distinguished Winners." This group will spend three days on the Apple campus during WWDC week with their own dedicated program – a format that Apple has consciously enhanced in recent years to give young talent a more visible presence at the conference.

What Apple will really show

While Apple's official announcement speaks of "exciting new software and developer tools" and "advances in AI," the key features of this year's generation have already been well outlined by rumors circulating for the past few months. At its core is a rebuilt Siri, which, according to all previous reports, is undergoing the biggest overhaul in its history – with a conversational architecture, third-party AI integration, and a visible redesign. The extent of this overhaul has become clear from numerous Bloomberg reports; a complete overview of the expected changes is provided by the ongoing summary of the major Siri relaunch in iOS 27.

In addition, Apple is planning visible adjustments to the Liquid Glass design system introduced with iOS 26. Several core apps are slated for revisions, including a fully customizable camera app for the first time, Safari with a new start page, and a redesigned Image Playground. Apple's smaller platforms are also getting updates: according to recent reports, visionOS 27 will be the quietest update in the family, but will automatically benefit from Siri and AI improvements in iOS 27 – an aspect that is discussed in detail in the overview of visionOS 27 and the Apple Vision Pro 2026.

WWDC 2026: On the Road to the Keynote

In the days leading up to the keynote, further leaks of details are expected – this has been the usual pattern for years. Apple itself is sticking to its tried-and-tested choreography: first the official program announcement, as today, then a quiet period, then the actual presentation on June 8th. Numerous details about iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, watchOS 27, tvOS 27, and visionOS 27 are expected before the keynote – and on June 8th at 7:00 PM CEST, the official confirmation will follow, revealing what Apple will actually present.
