April brings a wide range of new content to Apple TV. In addition to several series premieres and continuations, there's also a star-studded film premiere. The lineup is rounded out by ongoing releases of existing series and an expanded sports program. All in all, it's a jam-packed month with content from various genres.

Apple TV continues to rely on a mix of original productions, well-known actors, and diverse formats. This concept will be consistently pursued in April. The combination of new seasons of established series and entirely new productions is particularly striking. At the same time, the sports offerings are being further expanded, establishing the platform not only as a provider of series and films, but also increasingly as a hub for live sports.

Series start: Your Friends & Neighbors – Season 2

The second season of Your Friends & Neighbors premieres on April 3rd. The story again centers on Andrew Cooper, played by Jon Hamm, who leads a double life as a suburban thief. The plot continues as he becomes more deeply involved in this life.

New tension arises with the arrival of a neighbor, played by James Marsden, who begins to uncover Cooper's secrets. This puts both his identity and his family in danger. Returning cast members include Amanda Peet, Olivia Munn, Hoon Lee, Mark Tallman, Lena Hall, Aimee Carrero, Eunice Bae, Isabel Gravitt, and Donovan Colan.

Film premiere: Outcome

The dark comedy "Outcome" will be released on April 10th. It centers on Reef Hawk, a successful Hollywood star played by Keanu Reeves. His career is thrown into turmoil after a mysterious video surfaces that could make him vulnerable to blackmail and destroy his public image.

He is supported by his friends, played by Cameron Diaz and Matt Bomer, as well as his lawyer, portrayed by Jonah Hill. Together, he tries to find out who is behind the blackmail. At the same time, he embarks on a personal journey, confronting his past. The film combines humorous elements with a serious character development.

New drama: Margo's Got Money Troubles

The series Margo's Got Money Troubles premieres on April 15th. It focuses on Margo, played by Elle Fanning. She's a college dropout and aspiring writer who suddenly finds herself with a newborn, financial problems, and uncertain future prospects.

Her family background plays an important role: Her mother, played by Michelle Pfeiffer, was formerly a Hooters waitress, while her father, played by Nick Offerman, is a former professional wrestler. The series combines humorous and serious elements and depicts the attempt to reconcile responsibility, self-realization, and financial realities.

Thriller sequel: Criminal Record – Season 2

The second season of Criminal Record starts on April 22nd. The series is set in present-day London and focuses on the work of the police under difficult conditions.

The series centers on detectives June Lenker, played by Cush Jumbo, and Daniel Hegarty, portrayed by Peter Capaldi. After a young man is killed at a political rally, the two are forced to work together despite their differences.

The investigation evolves from a murder case into a complex undercover operation. The goal is to prevent a far-right bomb attack in central London. The series places particular emphasis on moral conflicts and the difficulty of upholding truth and justice in a politically charged environment.

Family series: My Brother the Minotaur

The series "My Brother, the Minotaur" will be released on April 24th. It is aimed at a younger audience and combines fantasy with family history.

The story follows a minotaur who grew up among humans and begins to dream of his mythical origins. Together with his brother and friends, he embarks on a journey to understand his identity, exploring themes of belonging, friendship, and self-discovery.

Horror-comedy: Widow's Bay

On April 29th, Widow's Bay, a series that combines horror and comedy, premieres. The story takes place in a small island community off the coast of New England.

Mayor Tom Loftis, played by Matthew Rhys, is trying to revive the economically struggling community. The island has neither stable Wi-Fi nor reliable cell phone reception, and many residents believe it is cursed.

Despite these circumstances, he initially succeeds in attracting tourists. However, it turns out that the old legends are not just superstition. Events long considered unrealistic reappear, causing the situation to spiral out of control. The series combines supernatural elements with character-driven humor.

Sports offerings on Apple TV in April

In addition to series and films, Apple TV continues to offer extensive sports content in April. This includes broadcasts and coverage of Major League Baseball, Formula 1, and Major League Soccer.

This adds live sports to the offering, which will be available throughout the entire month.

Ongoing series with new episodes

In addition to the new formats, several series will continue in April and receive new episodes:

  • Shrinking (third season, available until April 8)
  • The Hunt (French-language thriller, available until April 8)
