Here's how to watch WWDC 2026 live
Apple offers three official ways to watch the keynote live. All three are free and accessible without an Apple account.
apple.com in a web browser
The easiest way is directly via apple.com. Apple sets up a special events page a few days before the keynote, where the stream starts. It works on any device with a current browser – iPhone, iPad, Mac, Windows PC, Linux computer. Safari, Chrome, Firefox, and Edge are supported in their latest versions. No installation, no registration, and no Apple account are required.
Apple TV app
The Apple TV app is the ideal choice for anyone wanting to watch the keynote on a big screen. It's available on Apple TV 4K and HD, many smart TVs from Samsung, LG, Sony, and Hisense, Amazon Fire TV and Roku devices, as well as iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Apple typically opens a dedicated section for the event, which becomes available just before it begins.
YouTube
Apple is also streaming the keynote on its official YouTube channel. The live stream can be watched on any device with YouTube access – browser, smart TV, Chromecast, streaming stick, game console. YouTube also offers the option to read chat reactions in real time and to easily rewind and fast-forward through the keynote afterward.
What about the Apple Developer App?
The Apple Developer app isn't intended for the keynote itself, but rather for the content that follows. Apple uses it to provide the Platforms State of the Union, the roughly 100 video sessions of the week, Group Labs, and developer forums. Those who only want to watch the keynote are best served by using apple.com, the Apple TV app, or YouTube.
What Apple will show at the keynote
According to Apple, WWDC 2026 will focus on "AI advancements." Key highlights include iOS 27 with a revamped Siri and a new Glow design, macOS 27 with Liquid Glass enhancements, a fully customizable camera app, three new AI tools in the Photos app, and a potential Core AI framework for developers. Apple is also expected to discuss opening the App Store to AI agents and prepare for the EU's opening of streaming services for Google Cast and other protocols. A complete overview of all expectations can be found in our WWDC 2026 preview.
This will be Tim Cook's last WWDC as CEO. John Ternus, who will take over operational leadership on September 1, 2026, is expected to already be involved in the keynote address. What follows the keynote
The WWDC week is far from over with the end of the keynote. Here are the most important events that follow:
Platforms State of the Union – 10:00 PM German time on June 8
Immediately following the keynote, at 1:00 PM Pacific Time (10:00 PM German time), the Platforms State of the Union will take place. This format is aimed at developers and delves deeply into the new APIs, frameworks, and tools that Apple only touched upon in the keynote. The event will be streamed via the Apple Developer app, the developer website, and the Apple Developer YouTube channel.
First Developer Betas
Immediately after the keynote, Apple will release the first developer betas of iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, watchOS 27, tvOS 27, and visionOS 27. Since WWDC 2025, these developer betas have been available free of charge to everyone with an Apple account – a paid developer program is no longer required. Users can install them on the evening of the keynote. The public beta will follow in mid-July, and the final release will be in September alongside the iPhone 18 Pro.
Over 100 video sessions per week
From June 8th to 12th, Apple will be posting new video sessions daily on its developer website. Topics range from Swift and SwiftUI updates and design workshops to in-depth insights into Apple Intelligence, Core AI, and the new extension system for third-party AI.
Group Labs
Developers can speak directly with Apple engineers in interactive Group Labs. These sessions are free, take place online, and cover almost every technical Apple topic.
Recording and replay
If you can't watch the keynote live, don't worry. Apple will make the recording available immediately afterward on all three platforms – apple.com, the Apple TV app, and YouTube. The on-demand versions will remain permanently available and can be watched as often as you like. We'll publish a comprehensive summary with all the highlights right after the keynote, followed by in-depth articles on each major announcement over the next few days.
This is how you stay up-to-date throughout the summer
