Apple TV hosted its traditional BAFTA TV Brunch in London on May 9, 2026. At 180 House, the streaming service celebrated the nominees for this year's British Academy Television Awards – including numerous Apple Originals such as "The Studio," "Pluribus," "Severance," and "Slow Horses." The main BAFTA Television Awards ceremony will follow on May 10.
Apple TV is once again using BAFTA season as a platform to showcase its growing library of high-caliber original productions. Back in March, the streaming service celebrated a string of international awards for its originals, including two Peabody Awards. Now, with its annual BAFTA TV Brunch in London, Apple is bringing together the creative minds behind the nominated productions and underscoring its commitment to having a presence at Britain's most prestigious television awards ceremony.
The event at 180 House
Apple TV returned to London's 180 House for its annual BAFTA TV Brunch, honoring all the nominees for the BAFTA Television Awards. Alongside Apple Original stars, numerous British television personalities were in attendance, including Rhea Seehorn, Adam Scott, Seth Rogen, Chase Sui Wonders, Ike Barinholtz, Karolina Wydra, Samba Schutte, Peter Capaldi, Cush Jumbo, Fehinti Balogun, Jesse Burgess, Ruth Madeley, and Lenny Rush.

The event traditionally takes place immediately before the main awards ceremony. The winners of the 2026 BAFTA Television Awards will be announced on Sunday, May 10, in London.
These Apple Originals are nominated
Several Apple productions are in the running for this year's coveted BAFTA awards. Nominated are the comedy series "The Studio," Vince Gilligan's sci-fi series "Pluribus," and the internationally acclaimed streaming phenomenon "Severance." Also in the running are the British spy drama "Slow Horses," the mystery drama "Down Cemetery Road," the culinary documentary series "Knife Edge: Chasing Michelin Stars," the historical documentary "Vietnam: The War That Changed America," and the nature documentary "Prehistoric Planet: Ice Age."
The range shows how broadly Apple TV is now positioned – from satirical Hollywood comedy to classic genre television to high-quality documentary formats.
Successes at the BAFTA Television Craft Awards
Even before brunch, Apple TV had already racked up several awards at the BAFTA Television Craft Awards. "Slow Horses" won in the Writer: Drama category, and "Vietnam: The War That Changed America" was honored in the Director: Factual category. The Craft Awards recognize the craftsmanship behind the scenes – screenwriting, directing, cinematography, editing – and are an important indicator for streaming services of the depth of their productions.
This gives Apple TV a boost going into the main BAFTA awards ceremony. How many trophies actually go to Apple productions on May 10th will be decided a few hours later in London. (Image: Apple)
