Fubon Research expects the final price to be decisive for demand. Nevertheless, the research firm anticipates that Apple could sell approximately 5.4 million units in 2026. In a year when overall smartphone demand could decline, foldable devices would become the strongest bright spot in the market, according to the report.

Technology and camera equipment

In addition to the new form factor, Apple is apparently working on further technical improvements for 2026. The first lens with a variable aperture is planned for the iPhone 18 Pro models. However, the iPhone Fold is not expected to receive this new technology.
