Apple TV received a total of 22 nominations for nine different productions at the 57th annual NAACP Image Awards. The Apple Original Film Highest 2 Lowest was particularly well-represented, receiving nine nominations, including Outstanding Feature Film, Outstanding Ensemble Cast, Outstanding Actor for Denzel Washington, and Outstanding Supporting Actor and Actress for Jeffrey Wright and Rocky. Additional nominations included Breakthrough Performance for Rocky, Best Soundtrack, Best Costume Design by Francine Jamison-Tanchuck, and Best Makeup by Ngozi Olandu Young.
The film F1 also plays a central role. After its worldwide theatrical release as the most successful sports film of all time, it received nominations for Best Supporting Actor for Damson Idris and for Best Stunt Ensemble.
Series in focus of the acting categories
Apple TV dominated the acting categories at the NAACP Image Awards. Government Cheese was nominated for Best Actor in a Comedy Series for David Oyelowo, among other awards. The series also received a nomination for Best Director in a Comedy Series.
- The comedy series Loot earned Maya Rudolph a nomination for best actress in a comedy series.
- In the drama series The Morning Show, Karen Pittman and Nicole Beharie were each nominated for Best Supporting Actress. The series itself thus remains one of Apple TV's key prestige projects.
- The limited series Dope Thief received nominations for Brian Tyree Henry as best actor and for Ving Rhames as best supporting actor in a miniseries.
Documentation and creative work
The documentary series Number One on the Call Sheet received two nominations: one for best television documentary and another for best director, by Reginald Hudlin and Shola Lynch.
- The multi-award-winning comedy The Studio received a nomination for best screenplay in a comedy series.
- The historical series Chief of War was nominated for best makeup in a TV or film production.
The winners of the NAACP Image Awards will be announced on Saturday, February 28, 2026, in Pasadena.
11 nominations at the Golden Reel Awards
In addition to its content awards, Apple TV also impressed on a technical level. At the 73rd Motion Picture Sound Editors Golden Reel Awards, the service received 11 nominations for eight titles.
- The film F1 was nominated for outstanding achievement in sound editing in the categories of Dialogue/ADR as well as Effects and Foley.
- The Studio received nominations for Sound Editing and Music Editing in Short Form Productions.
- The series Severance received awards for sound editing and long-form music editing.
Other nominations went to Pluribus, Murderbot, Side Quest, the feature film The Gorge, and the documentary Deaf President Now!. The awards ceremony will take place on March 8 in Los Angeles.
