Apple has released iOS 26.4.1 and iPadOS 26.4.1. This minor update includes bug fixes and was released just over two weeks after iOS 26.4.
Apple today released iOS 26.4.1 and iPadOS 26.4.1 for all compatible iPhones and iPads. The build number is 23E254. The update arrives just over two weeks after the release of iOS 26.4 and had already appeared in Apple's internal testing for several days.
Between major iOS versions, Apple regularly releases so-called point updates, ending in .1 or .2. These updates don't introduce new features but instead fix bugs, improve stability, and close security vulnerabilities discovered after the main release. iOS 26.4.1 follows this established pattern.
iOS 26.4.1: What the Update contains
According to Apple's official release notes, the update contains unspecified bug fixes. Apple does not provide details about which specific problems were resolved. Experience shows that such updates can include fixes for battery life, Bluetooth connectivity, app stability, or security vulnerabilities that were only discovered after the main release.
This is how the Update is installed
The update can be downloaded on all compatible iPhones and iPads via the Settings app: "General" > "Software Update". Installation usually only takes a few minutes. As with all iOS updates, it is recommended to perform the update promptly – especially when security vulnerabilities are patched.
Preview of iOS 26.5
iOS 26.4.1 closes the gap until the next major update: iOS 26.5 is currently in beta and is expected in late April or May. Until then, today's update ensures that known issues from iOS 26.4 are resolved. The best products for you: Our Amazon storefront offers a wide selection of accessories, including those for HomeKit.
