ChatGPT is being further developed and is receiving new features that significantly expand the use of AI. OpenAI has released an update focusing on two key areas: music recommendations via Apple Music and a comprehensively improved image generation feature. Both new features are designed to integrate ChatGPT more deeply into creative workflows and everyday use cases.

Since the beginning of the year, ChatGPT has supported app integrations and is gradually becoming a platform that integrates external services. The announced Apple Music integration and the new image model demonstrate that OpenAI is focusing on personalization, speed, and more precise results. At the same time, it remains clear that technological progress also brings new limitations.

Apple Music is being integrated into ChatGPT

ChatGPT will soon be working with Apple Music. This integration will allow users to create music recommendations and playlists based on their listening history and suggestions. ChatGPT will use this information to compile personalized recommendations.

Recommended songs and playlists can be accessed directly by clicking on them. Clicking automatically opens the Apple Music app, either on a desktop computer or an iOS device. Currently, Apple Music is not yet officially available as an app integration within ChatGPT. However, OpenAI has confirmed that this integration will follow in the near future.

With this feature, ChatGPT expands its range of applications towards music and entertainment, complementing existing text-based and creative applications.

New image generator with higher speed

Alongside the music function, image generation in ChatGPT has also been significantly improved. ChatGPT Images can now generate images up to four times faster than before. The focus is not only on speed, but also on precise image processing.

Individual details of an image can be selectively adjusted without unintentionally altering other areas. According to OpenAI, ChatGPT only processes the elements that are to be updated. Aspects such as lighting, image composition, and the appearance of people remain consistent across multiple edits.

More realistic image processing and better instruction implementation

The new image model excels at adding, removing, combining, blending, and transposing elements. This results in more realistic image compositions, especially when working with real photographs.

The insertion of text into images has also been improved. Text is displayed more clearly, and layouts can be adjusted more reliably. OpenAI states that the new model follows instructions better overall than the previous version of the image generator.

Known limitations of the new model

Despite the improvements, there are also limitations. The ability to create certain art styles, such as anime, has worsened with the update. Furthermore, the new model is less effective at extensively altering images with large numbers of people.

In these cases, OpenAI recommends using preset filters, which can compensate for some of the weaknesses. Additionally, the previous version of the image generator remains available, allowing users to choose between the models depending on the use case.

ChatGPT images with presets and wide availability

ChatGPT Images is directly integrated into ChatGPT and offers dozens of preset styles and prompts. These presets make it easy to get started and enable quick results without lengthy preparation.

The image feature is available in both the mobile app and the web version of ChatGPT. The updated image model is being rolled out to all ChatGPT users immediately. With this development, ChatGPT is positioning itself more competitively with other AI image generators, including Google's Nano Banana.

ChatGPT is expanding its creative and media features

With the planned Apple Music integration and the new image generator, ChatGPT is further expanding its range of functions. Music recommendations, faster image generation, and more precise editing options make the AI more versatile. Despite some limitations, the update clearly shows that ChatGPT is increasingly establishing itself as a central platform for creative, media, and productivity applications.
