Apple TV is already looking ahead to next year. While one of the biggest premieres of the year is currently underway, the streaming service has released a new highlight video that previews several high-profile releases in early 2026. A total of five major premieres are shown, including four popular series with new seasons and a surprise feature film.

Apple TV remains true to its principles, continuing to focus on established series, select film productions, and well-known names both in front of and behind the camera. The new preview video serves less as a major marketing campaign and more as a straightforward overview of what's planned for the first few months of 2026. It clearly demonstrates that Apple TV prioritizes continuity and quality.

Overview of planned Apple TV premieres for 2026

According to the released teaser video, Apple TV is planning five major releases for early 2026. Four of these titles already have specific release dates. One premiere, however, has not yet been officially announced. Here's an overview of the announced titles:

  • Hijack Season 2 starts on January 14, 2026
  • Shrinking Season 3 will follow on January 28, 2026
  • The Last Thing He Told Me Season 2 will be released on February 20, 2026.
  • Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 2 starts on February 27, 2026
  • Eternity, a film from A24, without a confirmed streaming date.

The complete preview video summarizes these releases and shows short excerpts from all projects.

Return of several successful series

With four series continuations, Apple TV is deliberately focusing on familiar formats. Hijack returns for a second season and remains true to the thriller genre. Shrinking is already in its third season and is one of the series that has been particularly well-received by both audiences and critics.

The Last Thing He Told Me continues the story with a second season and remains firmly rooted in the dramatic genre. Monarch: Legacy of Monsters continues the MonsterVerse and builds on the success of its first season.

In addition to the titles shown in the video, Apple TV has already confirmed further premieres for early 2026. These include the long-delayed return of the thriller series Tehran and a new season of the critically acclaimed series Drops of God. Further projects have been announced but have not yet been detailed.

Eternity as a surprising new addition

The film Eternity is the only premiere in the teaser that hasn't been officially announced before. It's a romantic comedy from A24 starring Elizabeth Olsen, Miles Teller, and Callum Turner.

What's particularly surprising is that the film was only recently in theaters and Apple TV hasn't actively promoted it yet. Aside from its appearance in the new preview video, there's no official confirmation that Eternity will actually be released on Apple TV.

A concrete release date is also missing. Based on the timing in the video and the genre, a mid-February release is considered likely. One possible date would be February 13th, coinciding with Valentine's Day, although this is currently pure speculation.

Apple TV is starting 2026 strong

Apple TV is launching into 2026 with a clearly structured lineup. Five major premieres, several established series, and an unexpected feature film demonstrate that the streaming service continues to prioritize curated content over sheer volume. Supplemented by other announced productions like Tehran and Drops of God, this creates a solid lineup for the first few months of the year.

Apple TV is available for €9.99 per month and offers upcoming releases as well as popular series and films like Ted Lasso, Severance, Pluribus, and other original productions. Alternatively, the service is also included in the Apple One bundle. The best products for you: Our Amazon storefront offers a wide selection of accessories, including those compatible with HomeKit.
