Since its launch in 2019, Apple TV+ has quickly become a major player in the international streaming market. With a lineup ranging from award-winning series like "Ted Lasso" to award-winning films like "CODA" and innovative documentaries, the service has won numerous awards. Now, Apple TV+ is sending a clear message: The platform will remain the exclusive home for Snoopy, Charlie Brown, and the Peanuts until 2030. This not only extends but also intensifies the collaboration with WildBrain, Peanuts Worldwide, and Lee Mendelson Film Productions.
In 2025, Peanuts will celebrate its 75th anniversary – an occasion that Apple TV+ is making a big deal about. The expanded partnership includes the entire classic Peanuts library, as well as new original series, specials, and even an animated movie. The plan is to offer a mix of tradition and innovation that will appeal to both long-time fans and new viewers. There will even be free streaming windows for the holidays, so favorite classics like "A Charlie Brown Christmas" can be enjoyed without a subscription.
Exclusivity until 2030
Apple TV+ has been the streaming home of Peanuts since 2020, following the launch of its first original programs in 2018. With the new deal, Apple secures exclusive rights until at least 2030. This includes the classic library of timeless specials as well as new productions created in collaboration with WildBrain and Peanuts Worldwide. A new animated film is currently in development, taking Snoopy, Charlie Brown, and their friends on a big-city adventure.
Anniversary and free specials
For the 75th anniversary, the archives are open to everyone:
- “It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” – free on October 18 and 19, 2025
- “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” – free on November 15 and 16, 2025
