Apple has announced its next big event. The traditional iPhone keynote will take place on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at the Apple Park campus in Cupertino. It begins at 10:00 a.m. local time, and select media representatives are invited. The theme of the event is "Awe Dropping." As every year, the focus will be on new iPhone models, but this time Apple has even more planned.
The September event is one of the most important dates in Apple's calendar. Traditionally, the new iPhones are unveiled here, but other devices and software announcements are often added. In 2025, you can expect one of the biggest product launches in years: a completely new iPhone generation, updates to all Apple Watch models, possible new AirPods Pro, a redesigned HomePod mini, and a new Apple TV 4K. In addition, the release dates for new operating systems like iOS 26 and macOS Tahoe are also approaching.
iPhone 17: Four models in the spotlight
The focus will be on the introduction of the iPhone 17 series. It includes the standard iPhone 17, the iPhone 17 Pro, the iPhone 17 Pro Max, and the new iPhone 17 Air. The iPhone 17 Air replaces the previous "Plus" model and features a particularly thin and light design. It will be the slimmest iPhone Apple has ever launched. It features a 6.6-inch display, the company's own C1 modem, and a single-lens rear camera. The iPhone 17 Pro models differ in their more robust aluminum casing and a redesigned bar-shaped camera module. All devices in the series will feature the new A19 or A19 Pro chips, which ensure greater performance and energy efficiency. Another highlight is that ProMotion – previously reserved for the Pro models – will soon be available across the entire series.
Apple Watch: Complete product range renewed
In addition to the iPhones, the Apple Watch will also be a central focus of the event. For the first time in three years, all models will receive an update simultaneously. The Apple Watch Series 11, the Apple Watch Ultra 3, and the Apple Watch SE 3 will be unveiled. With this update, Apple is bringing its entire smartwatch lineup to a unified standard, promising improvements in both technology and functionality.
Additional hardware and possible surprises
Beyond the iPhone and Apple Watch, Apple could unveil other devices as well. AirPods Pro 3 with a redesigned design, a new HomePod mini, and an updated version of the Apple TV 4K are expected. This would further refresh Apple's entire hardware portfolio for the fall.
Software updates: iOS 26, iPadOS 26 and macOS Tahoe
In addition to hardware, Apple will also focus on software. The release dates for iOS 26, iPadOS 26, macOS Tahoe, and other upcoming operating systems will be officially announced at the event. With this, Apple will be launching the next major software generation.

Live broadcast
The keynote will begin on September 9 at 10:00 a.m. local time in Cupertino (7:00 p.m. German time). The event will be streamed via the Apple website, the official YouTube channel, and the Apple TV app. Those unable to watch the presentation live can find full coverage on apfelpatient.de and the associated social media channels.
Apple Event 2025: iPhone 17, Apple Watch and more in focus
The Apple Event 2025 promises numerous exciting innovations. With the iPhone 17 series and the new iPhone 17 Air, Apple is not only launching a completely new model, but also technical advancements across the entire series. At the same time, all Apple Watch models will be updated. Complemented by possible updates to AirPods, HomePod mini, and Apple TV, as well as the release dates for iOS 26 and other devices, September 9, 2025, is set to be one of the most important days of the year for Apple.
