According to the latest Global 500 list, Apple will be the world's most valuable brand in 2026. This is the result of Brand Finance's annual brand ranking. For the third year in a row, Apple has taken first place, clearly distancing itself from all other global brands. The estimated brand value in 2026 is approximately US$607 billion.
Since 2007, Brand Finance has systematically analyzed the world's most valuable brands. The ranking originally started under the name Global 250. In its early days, Coca-Cola topped the list with a brand value of US$43 billion. Microsoft, Citi, and Walmart followed.
Apple didn't play a dominant role back then. With an estimated brand value of just $12 billion and an AAA+ rating, Apple ranked 43rd. The brand lagged behind most other technology companies and was only slightly ahead of News Corp. Its current top ranking demonstrates how dramatically Apple has developed in just under two decades.
Apple in the Global 500 ranking
Apple takes first place again
In 2026, Apple remains unchallenged in first place in the ranking. Its brand value increased from $574 billion the previous year to $607 billion, representing growth of 6.5 billion. At the same time, Apple retains its AAA brand rating, the highest rating awarded by Brand Finance.
This makes Apple not only the world's most valuable brand, but also one of the most stable. Its moderate growth demonstrates that the brand continues to develop at a very high level without experiencing any major setbacks.
Dominance of the technology sector
A look at the top of the ranking clearly shows how strongly the technology sector shapes the global brand image. The first seven places are occupied by technology and platform companies: Apple, Microsoft, Google, Amazon, NVIDIA, and TikTok/Douyin.
Together, these seven brands have a combined brand value of approximately $2.31 trillion. Compared to the previous year, this represents an increase of 15.8 trillion. While the top four positions remained unchanged, NVIDIA saw particularly strong growth, climbing to fifth place after a brand value increase of 109 trillion.
Assessment of Apple's brand performance
Brand Finance assesses Apple's overall performance as stable and resilient. The traditional hardware business continues to grow only moderately. iPhones, iPads, and Macs remain important revenue drivers, but no longer generate significant growth spurts.
At the same time, Apple is consistently expanding its ecosystem. Services, advertising, cloud services, and the App Store, in particular, are increasingly contributing to the brand's strength. These segments compensate for the slower hardware growth and stabilize overall performance.
Another factor is the consistent demand in key regions. Apple remains strongly positioned in North and South America, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region. This broad geographic footprint strengthens its global reach and makes the brand less susceptible to regional fluctuations.
Apple will remain the world's most valuable brand in 2026
Apple will once again top the list of the world's most valuable brands in 2026. With a brand value exceeding $600 billion, growth of 6.5 billion, and an unchanged AAA rating, Apple confirms its exceptional position in the global brand rankings. Its journey from 43rd place in 2007 to the undisputed number one demonstrates how consistently Apple has built and developed its brand. The complete Global 500 list in 2026 from Brand Finance clearly underscores that Apple remains the benchmark for brand value and brand strength worldwide. (Image: Shutterstock / Ringo Chiu)
