Setting up Optic ID

Open Settings

Go to Settings and select Optic ID & Passcode. This is the starting point for setup.

Select Set up Optic ID and follow the on-screen instructions. If you need vision correction, you can set up Optic ID with or without your already paired ZEISS Optical Inserts. You can configure Optic ID with ZEISS Optical Inserts later in Settings if you set it up without them first.

Create Passcode

If you haven't set up a passcode yet, you'll be prompted to do so. This serves as an additional security measure.

Activate iPhone nearby

Once set up, you can enable the Nearby iPhone option to activate Optic ID from your iPhone when you turn on or restart your Vision Pro.

Add multiple inserts

You can set up Optic ID for up to two ZEISS Optical Insert pairs, which is especially useful if you need to switch between different vision corrections.

Activate Optic ID via iPhone nearby

If you are using iOS 17.1 or later on your iPhone and are signed in with the same Apple ID, you can activate Optic ID from your iPhone.

Steps:

Go to Settings > Optic ID & Passcode.
On your iPhone, tap Nearby iPhone turns on Optic ID at the bottom.
This feature works if your iPhone is nearby and has been unlocked within the last hour.

Reset Optic ID

If it is necessary to reset your Optic ID, you can do so in the settings.

Steps:

Select Optic ID & Passcode.
Enter passcode and select Reset Optic ID.
If you are using ZEISS Optical Inserts, select Reset Optic ID for [your ZEISS Optical Inserts].
For a complete reset, select Reset Optic ID for all Optical Inserts.
