Apple Vision Pro offers a revolutionary way of interacting with digital content. In this guide, you'll learn how to use basic gestures and controls to get the most out of your device. Innovative input methods such as hand and eye movements, the Digital Crown and the top button make operation more intuitive and efficient.

Apple Vision Pro combines advanced technologies with user-friendly controls. This guide shows you how to navigate and interact with the device using hand and eye movements and physical buttons. The aim is to give you a clear and comprehensive overview so you can take full control of your Apple Vision Pro.

Use hand and eye movements

Tapping with your fingers

To select options and open apps, look at the desired content (e.g. an app icon or a button) and then tap together with your index finger and thumb.

Touch

Interact directly with elements by touching them. Similar to typing on a physical keyboard, you can touch keys on the virtual keyboard to make inputs.

Pull and hold

For additional options or to zoom in and out of content, hold your thumb and index finger together. For example, press and hold the "Close" button in an app to display additional options. Pull your hands together or apart to enlarge or reduce the content.

Dragging and moving

Move windows, scroll through content or move objects by pressing and holding to grab them and then dragging. In the Photos app, for example, you can scroll through your albums by pressing and dragging the window bar.

Wipe

To scroll quickly, drag with two fingers and move your wrist quickly. This allows you to scroll through long content quickly.

Use the digital crown and the top button

Open the start page

A simple press on the digital crown takes you back to the start page of your Apple Vision Pro.

Realign content

To realign the content in the view, press and hold the digital crown.

Adjust depth or volume

Turn the digital crown to adjust the depth or volume. Look at the corresponding symbol while turning the crown.

Switch between the environment and digital content

Double-click on the digital crown to switch to a view of your surroundings. Press once again to return to your digital content.

Open entry

You can open the capture function by pressing the top button. This function allows you to take, display and share spatial photos and videos.

Capture still image

Press the top button and the digital crown at the same time to take a still image of your surroundings.

Using the access key

Press the digital crown three times to activate the access button.

Exit app

To exit an app, press and hold the top button and the digital crown at the same time until "Exit apps" is displayed. Select the app you want to close and tap "Exit".

Switch on

To switch on your Apple Vision Pro, press and hold the top button until the Apple logo appears on the display.

Switch off

To switch off, press the top button and the digital crown at the same time until the sliders appear. Pull the upper slider to switch the device off.

Force restart

For a forced restart, press and hold the upper button and the digital crown at the same time until the device is switched off.

Apple Vision Pro: Simple and intuitive to use

With these basic gestures and controls, you're perfectly equipped to use your Apple Vision Pro efficiently. Whether you're opening apps, scrolling through content, or adjusting the volume, the intuitive controls make it easy to operate the device the way you want.
