In the era of digital technology, we strive to capture our memories as vividly as possible. Apple Vision Pro makes this possible by capturing 3D spatial photos and videos. This technology allows you to relive unforgettable moments, like celebrations with friends or special family gatherings, as realistically as if you were there again. Here's how to get the most out of Vision Pro to capture, view and share stunning spatial photos and videos.

The Vision Pro is a revolutionary tool that redefines the way we capture memories. With its ability to capture 3D spatial photos and videos, you can experience moments with unprecedented depth and vividness. Whether it's a special occasion or everyday experience, the Vision Pro will help you see those memories in a whole new light. In this article, you'll learn step by step how to master the features of the Apple Vision Pro and get the most out of your shots.

Take a spatial photo or video

  • Start recording: Press the top button to open the “Recording”.
  • Tap Photo or Video at the bottom to select the mode you want.
  • Press the top button again to start taking a spatial photo or video.
  • Stop recording: Press the top button again or tap the Stop Recording button to stop recording.

Tips and tricks for taking spatial photos and videos

  • Keep your head still: While recording a spatial video, it is important to keep your head still to avoid camera shake and achieve the best possible quality.
  • Watch the crosshairs: A crosshair will appear in the center of the screen. Make sure to keep the crosshairs within the circle to ensure optimal shots. Too much movement may trigger a warning when using the Immersive view.
  • Use the tilt plane: Before taking a picture, the shutter button displays a plane that you can use as a guide to take straight pictures.
  • Keep your distance: Avoid shooting subjects that are very close to you to avoid distortion.

Show spatial images

  • Immediately after taking the photo: Tap the thumbnail in the lower left corner to view the spatial photo or video you just took.
  • View all your captures: Open the Photos app and tap the Spatial tab to see all your spatial photos and videos.
  • Immersive view: To view a spatial photo or video in Immersive view, tap the Immersive button in the Camera roll or Photos app.

Sharing a spatial recording

  • Open the Photos app: Find the spatial photo or video you want to share.
  • Share: Tap the More button, then tap Share. Choose an option like AirDrop, Mail, or Messages.
  • Cross-platform view: Spatial photos and videos are displayed in 3D on Apple Vision Pro and in 2D on other devices.
