The dystopian science fiction series "Silo" is one of Apple TV's most popular shows. After the end of the second season, many were waiting for concrete information about its continuation. While it had been known for a long time that further seasons were in development, a release date for Silo Season 3 was still missing.
There's an important update now. Lead actress Rebecca Ferguson has revealed in an interview when the third season is expected to be released.
Silo is set in a dystopian future where the last humans live in a vast underground silo. Strict rules, secrets about the past, and a complex power structure govern the lives of its inhabitants.
The series is one of Apple TV's most important productions. It was recently announced that filming for the fourth season has already wrapped. However, it remained unclear when the third season would be released.
Rebecca Ferguson confirms start in summer
The new information comes directly from Rebecca Ferguson, who plays the main character Juliette Nichols in the series. She recently appeared on the US show TODAY on NBC.
Ferguson was actually talking about the upcoming "Peaky Blinders" film, in which she will appear alongside Cillian Murphy. However, during the interview, she was also asked about "Silo".
She explained that Silo season 3 is scheduled to start in the summer. However, she couldn't give an exact date and only said that she could currently only confirm "this summer".
