Apple TV is expanding its streaming service in April with a new original film. "Outcome," a dark comedy with a prominent cast including Keanu Reeves, will be released. The film is part of a larger content initiative with which Apple TV is further expanding its portfolio.
Exclusive content featuring well-known actors plays a central role for streaming services. Apple TV is also focusing on this, combining an unusual story with a remarkably strong cast in "Outcome." The film will be released directly on the platform on Friday, April 10.
Plot of "Outcome"
Keanu Reeves plays Reef Hawk, a successful Hollywood star who is being blackmailed because of an incriminating video. To save his reputation, he tries to find out who is behind the blackmail.
At the same time, he begins to apologize to people from his past whom he may have harmed. The plot combines a personal crisis, loss of image, and a search for the perpetrator.
Cast and characters
Alongside Reeves, Cameron Diaz plays Kyle and Matt Bomer plays Xander, two close confidants of the main character. Jonah Hill takes on the role of crisis lawyer Ira.
The cast is rounded out by David Spade and Martin Scorsese. The mix of well-known actors and creative minds makes the film a standout project in Apple TV's lineup.
Publication and availability
"Outcome" will be available exclusively on Apple TV starting April 10. The service can be used via the Apple TV app on many devices, including iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV 4K, Apple Vision Pro, Android, PlayStation, Xbox, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, smart TVs, and in a web browser.
Prices and other content
In Germany, Apple TV costs €9.99 per month or €99 per year. New users receive a one-week free trial. The service is also included in bundles such as Apple One.
In addition to "Outcome", Apple TV plans more than a dozen other new series and films this year.
Apple TV further expands its offerings with "Outcome"
With "Outcome," Apple TV brings a compact, star-studded dark comedy to the platform. The film combines blackmail, personal reckoning, and Hollywood satire and is part of a larger strategy to continuously expand its streaming service. (Image: Apple)
