Apple TV has solidified its position as one of the world's leading streaming services. At the 32nd annual Actor Awards, presented by SAG-AFTRA, several of the most prestigious awards went to Apple productions. The series "The Studio" particularly dominated the ceremony. In addition, films and series such as "F1," "Severance," "Palm Royale," "Slow Horses," "Prehistoric Planet: Ice Age," "Mr. Scorsese," "Number One on the Call Sheet," "Smoke," and "Snoopy Presents: A Summer Musical" were also honored with significant awards.

With 735 awards and 3,258 nominations for Apple Original movies, documentaries and series, Apple TV has an extraordinary track record.

Apple TV consistently focuses on high-quality original productions across various genres. Comedy, drama, documentary, nature film, or animated special – the portfolio is broad and internationally acclaimed.

The recent awards confirm this trend. Particularly striking is the breadth of the award-winning areas: acting, directing, production, casting, costume, makeup, music, editing, sound, visual effects, and set design. Apple TV is thus being recognized not only for individual performers but for entire creative teams.

The Studio dominates the 32nd Actor Awards

The focus of the current accolades is "The Studio." At the 32nd SAG-AFTRA Actor Awards, the series received three awards:

  • Outstanding performance by an ensemble in a comedy series
  • Outstanding performance by a male actor in a comedy series – Seth Rogen
  • Posthumous: Outstanding performance by a female actress in a comedy series – Catherine O'Hara

In addition, "The Studio" won numerous other awards:

  • Producers Guild Awards – Danny Thomas Award for outstanding producers of television series (comedy)
  • Art Directors Guild Awards – Best Half Hour Single-Camera Series („The Note“)
  • Costume Designers Guild Awards – Excellence in Contemporary Television
  • Make-Up Artists & Hair Stylists Guild Awards – Best Contemporary Hairstyling and Best Contemporary Make-up

The story of "The Studio" follows Matt Remick, played by Seth Rogen, as he takes over the struggling Continental Studios. In a film industry fighting for relevance, he must deal with an uncertain management team, narcissistic artists, and difficult business decisions. Every casting choice, every award ceremony, and every marketing meeting could mean the difference between success and failure.

F1: Internationally acclaimed feature film

The Apple Original film "F1" received four Oscar nominations, including Best Picture. The production also won numerous international awards.

"F1" tells the story of Sonny Hayes (Brad Pitt), a former Formula 1 talent of the 1990s whose career was nearly ended by an accident. Decades later, he returns to save a struggling team. Alongside him is Joshua Pearce (Damson Idris), an ambitious young driver. The film centers on rivalry, the past, and the attempt at redemption.

Severance: A successful drama with international acclaim

"Severance" has also received several awards:

  • Society of Composers & Lyricists Awards – Best Original Music for a Television Production

  • Art Directors Guild Awards – Best One-Hour Contemporary Single-Camera Series (Chikhai Bardo)
  • British Society of Cinematographers Awards – Best Cinematography in a Television Drama (Goodbye, Mrs. Selvig)
