Many Apple Watch Series 4 users are confused after the watchOS 6 update - and rightly so. The Infograph watch face was previously colored, but now it's gray, and not everyone likes that. But how do we bring the color back? We'll show you.
It's not a bug – it's a feature! What looks like a bug isn't actually a bug. The watch face change after the watchOS 6 update is advertised by Apple in the update description as "new monochrome complications in Infograph and Infograph Modular." Apple's approach to Admittedly, the implementation of the new look was a bit clumsy – the monochrome style is displayed by default on the Apple Watch Series 4 under watchOS 6. If you don't like the new gray, you can of course restore the usual style – and here's how.
Step by step to the old style
Firmly press the display of your Apple Watch—more specifically, the monochrome watch face. Customization mode will then appear—navigate to the "Customize" section. Now you can use the Digital Crown to select different color options—if you scroll all the way to the top, you'll find black and white.
This applies to both watch faces—Infograph and Infograph Modular. Of course, you can also make such changes using the Apple Watch app on your iPhone. To do so, open the app and select the respective watch face under "My Watch Faces" in the "My Watch" section. Here you can select the individual styles. Did you know?
