Reports about an update to the MacBook Pro 13-inch model have been with us for several months. Now the time frame has been set.
Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has repeatedly suggested an update to the 13-inch MacBook Pro model. The main innovation is said to be the new keyboard, which is already available in the 16-inch MacBook Pro and the new 2020 MacBook Air. The new notebook could also feature a "larger" screen. It is expected to be 14 inches instead of 13 inches. The change should be similar to the one with the 16-inch MacBook Pro. Now, well-known YouTuber and leaker Jon Prosser has some news to share. He expects the new MacBook Pro to launch in May.
Better chips, same design
The code name of the new device is said to be J223. However, he did not provide any concrete details about the specifications. Since the form factor will remain the same, the keyboard layout should be similar to the already updated models. Furthermore, Apple is expected to use 10th generation Ice Lake chips from Intel. These were built on a 10-nanometer architecture. No further innovations are to be expected. (Photo by PixieMe / Bigstockphoto)
