There is exciting news for all Apple fans and laptop enthusiasts: next year we can look forward to four brand new MacBook models. The rumor mill is churning, and Bloomberg's Mark Gurman has revealed some exciting information about these upcoming MacBooks. In this article, we will take a look at the details and find out what to expect from the new MacBooks.

Mark Gurman, a well-known expert on Apple products, has provided insights into the upcoming MacBook models in his “Power On” newsletter givenThese are said to be equipped with the promising M3 chips and have already entered the testing phase. The information he provided suggests that we could soon have these new MacBooks in our hands.

The upcoming MacBook Pro models

The new MacBook Pro models, in both 14-inch and 16-inch variants, will feature the M3 Pro and M3 Max chips. These devices have already successfully passed Design Validation Testing (DVT), indicating that they are in the final stages of development and will soon enter mass production. Gurman predicts that we will likely see these MacBook Pro models on the market between early 2024 and spring. This is roughly the same timeframe in which the previous models, the M2 Pro and M2 Max MacBook Pro, were launched earlier this year.

The next Air upgrade

But that's not all. The MacBook Air line is also getting an upgrade with the M3 chip. These new models have apparently reached the EVT (Engineering Verification Testing) phase, which is a promising sign of their development progress. However, the next-generation MacBook Airs are not expected to be released until spring or summer of next year. This fits well with the schedule Apple has followed in recent years, with new MacBook Air models being unveiled at WWDC in June.

Outlook for 2024: New MacBook era

The prospect of four new MacBook models with M3 chips in 2024 has Apple fans excited. The progress in development and successful testing suggest that these MacBooks could soon become a reality.
