It took almost a year – now WhatsApp Business for the iPhone is finally here. The standalone app can also have advantages for private users.
Since yesterday, the new Business WhatsApp Messenger can be downloaded as a standalone app from the iOS AppStore. This means that users can now use two different WhatsApp accounts on one iPhone for the first time – this is particularly beneficial for users of an iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max or iPhone XR. From now on, they can also use a WhatsApp account for their eSim number. The business version of the popular messenger has the same functions as the normal version - but WhatsApp Business offers more tools that are even more beneficial for communication between companies and customers.
A better messenger presence for companies
Companies that use WhatsApp Business can, for example, store more information about their company in their profile. This includes opening times, address, website and a description. In addition, greeting messages and out-of-office messages can be configured - quick replies are also available. A WhatsApp Business account can be created with either a mobile or landline number. Authentication is carried out via SMS or call. The app is currently available in seven countries and will be rolled out in additional areas over the next few weeks.
