The new Mac Pro was introduced at WWDC 2019 in the summer. Apple recently announced that it would launch in December. Now, according to Cupertino, production has officially started.

Apple made two new announcements today in a press release. Firstly, the company confirmed the official start of production of the new Mac Pro. Furthermore, Cupertino announced the construction of a new campus in Austin, Texas. This is expected to cost around one billion US dollars and will be not far from the Mac Pro manufacturing plant. There is already a campus there that can accommodate around 7,000 employees. According to Apple, the new building will create another 5,000 jobs. As part of the announcement, Apple announced that the new Mac Pros will soon be delivered across America. This would mean that deliveries will be limited to North and South America. Now observers believe that international markets will receive models assembled in China. This means that Apple may be planning to manufacture the new Mac Pro for all other countries in China. However, the company did not provide any specific details.

Fastest Mac ever

According to Apple, the new Mac Pro will be the fastest Mac ever. It can accommodate an Intel Xeon processor with up to 28 cores. The new super tower also has space for up to 1.5 TB of ECC RAM, up to 4 TB of SSD storage and up to AMD Radeon Pro Vega II Duo graphics cards with 64 GB of HBM2 memory. The basic version is expected to start at around $5,999. The price for the high-end version is currently unknown, but is estimated to be around $50,000. (Image: Apple)
