Apple officially introduced the new software generation at WWDC 2022. Now the company has released the eighth preview of iOS 16 for registered developers.
iOS 16 and Co. are due to be released in the fall, at the same time as new hardware, such as the "iPhone 14", and will bring with them a multitude of new features and other improvements. As is to be expected with a milestone release, the changes are far-reaching and include everything from the home screen to the apps within the mobile operating system. Apple is continuing its push to protect users' privacy and security in the latest version. But until the new software is made available to all users, the individual updates go through a beta phase. Apple has now released the eighth version for registered developers in developer portal and as an over-the-air update. Since the beta phase is already well advanced, no major new features are to be expected. The new versions focus more on bug fixes and performance improvements. However, if there are any interesting changes, we will report on them.
