2024 promises to be an exciting year full of new products for Apple fans. The company already has an impressive track record and continues to lead the technology industry. But while we eagerly await the upcoming releases, there are also some notable absences from the rumors and predictions. In this article, we'll take a closer look at what Apple products we can't expect in 2024.

Apple has built a reputation as a leader in innovation in the tech world, regularly making waves with its groundbreaking releases. But this year, it seems there are some products that we'll have to wait a little longer for. Despite this, the anticipation of what Apple will offer us in the near future remains undiminished.

iPhone SE 4: A look at the rumor mill

One of the most anticipated Apple products that still has to wait a bit is the iPhone SE 4. Apple was originally scheduled to launch the fourth generation of the popular budget smartphone in 2024. But according to the latest information, the release is likely to be pushed back to 2025. The current iPhone SE was launched in March 2022, so it will be at least 33 months old when its successor is finally available. What can we expect from the iPhone SE 4? It is expected to be based on the iPhone 14 and will come with an OLED display, a larger battery, an action button, a USB-C port, Face ID, and possibly Apple's first proprietary 5G cellular modem. Although the wait is longer than expected, fans can look forward to an impressive upgrade.

AirTag 2: Patience is put to the test

Another product that the Apple community is eagerly awaiting is the second generation of the AirTag tracker. Production was originally scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2024, but according to the latest information, it is not expected to enter mass production and hit the market until 2025. The second generation AirTag will be part of a new spatial computing ecosystem where Apple is relying on Vision Pro as the core for integrating other devices. With a new AirTag that includes Apple's second generation ultra-wideband chip, we can expect even more accurate tracking over longer distances.

MicroLED Apple Watch Ultra: A display upgrade a long way off

One exciting Apple product in development is the Apple Watch Ultra with a MicroLED display. This upgrade was originally expected to arrive as early as 2024, but the latest reports suggest we may have to wait until late 2025 or even 2026. The MicroLED display is expected to be 2.12 inches and will offer improved brightness, color reproduction, dynamic range, and viewing angles. This project is part of Apple's efforts to reduce dependence on suppliers and benefit from its own developments.

iMac Pro: A high-end model in the making

Although the iMac Pro and larger iMac models were discontinued in 2021, rumors of a high-end ‌iMac Pro‌ model are still rife. This model is expected to feature an impressive 32-inch mini-LED display and an expanded selection of ports. According to various sources, the new iMac Pro could launch in late 2024 or, more likely, in 2025. It remains to be seen whether the 24-inch iMac will remain Apple's only all-in-one desktop this year.

Foldable iPhone and iPad: The future remains uncertain

Apple has been working on foldable displays for years, but a foldable iPhone or iPad still seems a long way off. Originally, it was speculated that a foldable iPhone could be released in 2024, but the latest predictions point to 2025 or later. While foldable display technology continues to be researched, the exact release date of these innovative devices remains unclear.

Conclusion

Although we're missing out on some exciting Apple products this year, the excitement for the innovations to come remains high. Apple continues to set the standard in the technology industry and will no doubt come up with groundbreaking releases in the future. Fans' patience will be rewarded when these products finally hit the market and change the way we experience technology once again. Looking for new accessories?
