The announcement of Mario Kart Tour for iOS and Android is already over a year and a half old. Now Nintendo has finally given the new title for iPhone, iPad, etc. a release date.

Nintendo announced the official release date of its next game for iOS and Android a few hours ago. Mario Kart Tour will be available worldwide on iPhone and other devices from September 25, 2019. The company wrote this on Twitter. Those interested can already download the game in iOS App Store or Google Play Store pre-order. The game itself is available for free, but includes in-app purchases. According to the listing in the App Store, the prices range from €2.29 to €74.99. It is not yet known what these can be used for. An active internet connection is required to play the title. Further details about the game should appear over the next few weeks.

iOS 13 enables gaming with Pro Controllers

At launch, Mario Kart Tour will be optimized for all iPhone and iPad models - similar to Super Mario Run. It is not known whether there will be an Apple TV version. Under iOS 13, it will be possible to connect a Playstation 4 or Xbox One S controller to the iPhone and iPad. This should be particularly interesting for Mario Kart Tour players. The connection between the device and joystick is made via Bluetooth. (Image: Nintendo)
