Yes, it's not a typo. Apple has just surprisingly released the first beta of iOS 13.1 for developers.

Apple is currently causing a lot of confusion - confusion among developers, to be precise. The reason for this is the latest beta. The ninth beta of iOS 13 for developers was actually expected. Instead, the first beta of iOS 13.1 is currently being rolled out. Apple has never in history released a point update for an iOS beta before the first version was available to all users - for the record: the final version of iOS 13 is expected to be released in mid-September. However, this is obviously not a mistake, as Apple also refers to the update in the Developer Center as iOS 13.1 and iPadOS 13.1. If anything changes, we will update the article. In addition to iOS 13, a new beta for watchOS 6 and tvOS 13 was also released.

The new versions of iOS 13, iPadOS and watchOS 6 as well as tvOS 13 beta can be downloaded as usual over-the-air or via the Developer Center. You can find out what new features have been added in the seventh beta of iOS 13 and iPadOS hereAs soon as all changes in the current beta are known, we will summarize them for you in a separate article. When the final version of iOS 13 will be released for all iPhone users, you can find out in our analysis read it.

Are you also a beta tester and would like to exchange ideas with like-minded people? Then our new Telegram group (Apfelpatient – Beta Workshop) might be just right for you.

Notice – As usual, a beta should not be installed on an actively used device, as these are usually quite unstable and buggy – we recommend a second device for this. (Photo by Hadrian / Bigstockphoto)
