The Apple Watch Series 11 brings the most comprehensive innovations yet in health, fitness, and connectivity. With high blood pressure notifications, a sleep score, more robust display glass, longer battery life, and 5G support, Apple continues the success story of its smartwatch. Complemented by new designs, improved software, and sustainable materials, the Apple Watch Series 11 becomes an everyday companion that supports you around the clock.
For years, the Apple Watch has been the world's best-selling watch. It combines fitness tracking, smart everyday functions, and medically validated features in one device. The Apple Watch Series 11 significantly expands these capabilities. In particular, the early detection of signs of high blood pressure and the new sleep assessment make it a tool for improved health and well-being. At the same time, it impresses with technical performance, greater robustness, and a slim, elegant design.
Health in Focus: High Blood Pressure Notifications
One of the most important new features is the notification of signs of chronic hypertension. Hypertension is considered the largest modifiable risk factor for heart attack, stroke, and kidney disease, affecting approximately 1.3 billion adults worldwide. Because hypertension often causes no symptoms and can easily be missed during routine medical checkups, it often goes undetected. Apple Watch Series 11 uses the optical heart sensor to analyze the blood vessels' response to heartbeats over a 30-day period. An algorithm passively monitors the data in the background and issues a notification when consistent signs of hypertension occur.

The technology is based on machine learning and studies with over 100,000 participants. The feature was validated in a clinical study with more than 2,000 people. Even if not all cases are detected, Apple expects more than one million notifications of previously undetected hypertension in the first year alone. Approval from the FDA and other authorities is expected shortly. The feature is scheduled to be available in over 150 countries and regions, including the US and EU, this month. It is supported starting with Apple Watch Series 9 and Ultra 2 with watchOS 26.
Sleep better with the sleep score
Sleep is a key health factor. With watchOS 26, the Apple Watch Series 11, for the first time, features a sleep score that evaluates sleep quality. Factors such as sleep duration, regularity, frequency of awakenings, and time spent in each sleep stage are incorporated into the assessment. The results appear in the Sleep app on the watch and can also be tracked in the Smart Stack or the Health app on the iPhone. The algorithms are based on guidelines from the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, the National Sleep Foundation, and the World Sleep Society. They were developed using data from more than five million recorded nights from the Apple Heart and Movement Study. This creates an easy-to-understand assessment that shows how sleep quality can be improved.
More endurance: 24 hours of battery life
The Apple Watch Series 11 now has a battery life of up to 24 hours. Thanks to fast charging, 15 minutes on the charger provides up to eight hours of use. This makes it convenient to use the watch even at night without having to constantly recharge during the day.

Robust and elegant: Ion-X glass and titanium option
The display on the aluminum models is made of Ion-X glass, which is now twice as scratch-resistant as before. This is made possible by a special ceramic coating that hardens the glass at the atomic level. The titanium models remain equipped with sapphire glass, one of the most durable materials in the industry. Despite the increased robustness, the case remains slim, light, and elegant.
5G mobile communications for more connectivity
For the first time, the Apple Watch supports 5G. This allows music, podcasts, and apps to load significantly faster. A redesigned antenna further improves reception by covering more frequency bands and activating both system antennas simultaneously when needed. This ensures a stable connection even in areas with weak network coverage.
Fitness with artificial intelligence
With "Workout Buddy," the Apple Watch Series 11 gets a new training companion powered by Apple Intelligence. It provides personalized guidance during your workout, including information on heart rate, pace, distance, and activity goals. The redesigned Workout app also offers more customization options, including custom workouts, pacer, and race route features. Music and podcasts can be automatically started directly within the app—suitable for your workout type.
Product range and bracelets
The Apple Watch Series 11 is available in 42 mm and 46 mm. Aluminum versions are available in Space Gray, Jet Black, Rose Gold, and Silver. The titanium model is available in Natural, Gold, and Slate. The Hermès edition comes in Silver Titanium with new bands, including the Faubourg Party Knit and a slim Grand H metal link bracelet. The new standard bands offer colors such as Forest Green, Neon Yellow, Anchor Blue, and Crimson Mist. The Nike Sport Band and Sport Loop are also available in fresh colors, with the Nike Sport Loop now featuring reflective yarn.
Sustainability with Apple 2030
The Apple Watch Series 11 is made from 40 percent recycled materials, including 100 percent recycled cobalt in the battery and 100 percent recycled titanium or aluminum in the case. Titanium models are manufactured using a resource-efficient 3D printing process. All production uses renewable energy, and the packaging is made from 100 percent fiber. The watch thus contributes to Apple's goal of becoming carbon neutral by 2030.
