Apple has been offering (PRODUCT)RED accessories and even devices for many years. While a (PRODUCT)RED Apple Watch strap has been around for a long time, a red Apple Watch has not been available until now. But that could change in spring 2020. The French Apple blog WatchGeneration was able to find a reference to such a model in an Apple database. The entry was only available for a short time before it was removed again. According to this, an Apple Watch Series 5 as a (PRODUCT)RED version is said to be in the works. The device would be available in a red aluminum case, as two of the seized images show.
Start in spring 2020 conceivable
It remains to be seen whether Apple will actually release such a device. However, it is likely to be a box office hit, as (PRODUCT)RED devices and accessories have been very popular to date - users of the (PRODUCT)RED version of the iPhone 11 are likely to be particularly interested. The presentation could take the form of a press release or be presented at an Apple event in the spring.
