Now that Apple has officially confirmed another event, rumors about the new M1X MacBook Pro models are increasing. Now a leaker is reporting on the features.
Various sources indicate that the upcoming devices will feature a new chassis design, an HDMI port, an SD card slot, and an Apple-designed "M1X" SoC, which is expected to replace the current 16-inch Intel configurations with better performance and power efficiency. According to the reliable leaker @dylandkt (at least reliably so far) these professional notebooks will also come with a higher quality 1080p webcam. For years, users have criticized Apple's laptops for their poor camera quality, from the 12-inch MacBook's awful 480p lens to the extremely mediocre FaceTime camera on most current Mac models. And yes, webcams are more important than ever in times like these.
M1X MacBook Pro: More RAM, slimmer display bezels
With the launch of the M1 iMac earlier this year, Apple finally started redesigning the FaceTime camera. The device, as is well known, features a surprisingly good 1080p webcam. Based on this, it's safe to assume that the MacBook Pro will be next. In his Twitter post, Dylan also touched on the memory. He claims that the M1X MacBook Pro will come standard with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage, both in the 16-inch and the new 14-inch sizes. There will also reportedly be a 32 GB RAM option, according to the leaker. Regarding the design, Dylan says that the "MacBook Pro" logo on the bottom display bezel has been removed in favor of an overall slimmer frame. Regarding the display, he confirmed a previous statement, according to which the devices will receive a mini-LED display. (Image: rendersbyian)
