The iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro (Max) are more popular than many would have thought - despite the interesting and, to be honest, ingenious square. We for one don't want to be without the triple camera anymore. But what's next? Definitely not an iPhone 11S or iPhone 11S Pro.
About the iPhone 2020 A lot is already known - not least thanks to the well-informed analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. His hit rate is almost legendary - which is why his reports on new Apple products are read particularly carefully. The current rumors: The new iPhone 2020 generation is to appear in a completely new design and have a 3D camera based on time-of-flight technology. There will also be 5G support. But what will it be called? A new design usually means a new name. So far, no S series has ever been redesigned and there is no obligation to have an S-Line - see iPhone 7 and its successor iPhone 8.
The iPhone 12?
Apart from that, the iPhone 9 was skipped completely - we remember the iPhone X (10). Nevertheless, some fans continue to doubt the redesign and assume that Apple will introduce an iPhone 11S - a healthy dose of skepticism is always welcome. But Kuo now claims to have learned that there will definitely not be an iPhone 11S.
According to this, the iPhone 2020 lineup will be called iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max. Of course, a lot can still change if we consider that the presentation will only take place in less than a year - but Kuo's track record speaks for itself and if the devices should appear in a new shell, a new name is not unrealistic.
