The existing TrueDepth camera array has multiple components but only one camera sensor, so the alleged Ultra upgrade will offer an additional sensor.

The reason for the second camera was not given. In theory, it could be used for stereoscopic video recording or simply for different levels of optical zoom. The leaker also claims that the iPhone 15 Ultra will use USB-C and launch with a 256GB storage capacity. The iPhone 15 Pro will, as usual, only use a front-facing camera and launch with a 128GB storage capacity. However, this model will apparently also get USB-C.
