As with the iPhone 13 Pro, only the Pro models of the iPhone 14 will be equipped with ProMotion display technology. This is now explained by a well-known and accurate display analyst.

Ross Young, who has already revealed detailed information about Apple’s future products several times, now explained in a Tweetthat ProMotion will not be extended to the entire iPhone 14 series but will remain exclusively reserved for the Pro models. Previously, claimed, according to which all four models should get the feature. In the tweet, Young suggests that the Chinese manufacturer BOE could be the supplier of LTPO OLED displays. But the company does not have enough production capacity at the moment. Samsung is currently the exclusive supplier of LTPO OLED displays for the iPhone 13 Pro models, with LG also reportedly joining.

iPhone 14 series without mini model

Apple first introduced ProMotion on the iPhone in September 2021 with the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max. ProMotion allows the display to automatically refresh at up to 120 Hz for smoother content and scrolling, or at up to 10 Hz to extend battery life, depending on the type of content on the screen. Apple has so far limited ProMotion to "Pro" products such as the iPhone 13 Pro, iPad Pro, and the newly launched 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pros. Apple is expected to announce four iPhone 14 models this year, including 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch standard models and 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch Pro devices. The mini version is set to be dropped entirely due to lack of demand. (Photo by Unsplash / StorresJayrMx)
