Apple is currently expected to hold the first event sometime this spring. Now a possible date is said to be on the table.

Apple is reportedly considering a date around March 8 to host the first event in 2022 for a new iPhone SE, an updated iPad and possibly a new Mac. The possible date is not yet certain. But Bloomberg according to, Apple is aiming for a day around March 8 for its next virtual event. However, the publication cautioned that production delays or other changes could force Apple to change the date of the event. March 8 is a Tuesday, a day of the week when Apple traditionally unveils new products. Apple is expected to unveil a new iPhone SE 3 and a redesigned iPad Air at the event. The iPhone is rumored to have a similar design to the previous iPhone SE but will feature a faster A15 chipset and 5G connectivity.

The iPad Air will also get an A15 chip and 5G, Bloomberg reports. Although the 2022 iPhone SE model will only be a subtle update, there could reportedly be a major overhaul of the lower-priced iPhone in 2024. Bloomberg claims that Apple could also launch a new Mac model with an Apple Silicon chip, although the publication did not provide further details. Apple is believed to be working on a new 27-inch iMac Pro device. The sources also told the publication that Apple's iOS 15.4, which includes Face ID support for masks and Universal Control, could be released in the first half of March. If March 8 is confirmed as the date, Apple will likely send out invites a week beforehand. (Image: Apple)
