Anapa, Russia - February 17, 2019: Man hand with Apple Watch Series 4 with the ECG app on the screen. Apple Watch was created and developed by the Apple inc.

We have recently completed an extensive Summary on the subject of Apple Watch Series 6 and watchOS 7 and now there is more. A leak is said to confirm five important features, including a function that detects panic attacks.

The Youtuber Nikias Molina has Twitter and claims to know the features of the upcoming Apple Watch Series 6. He has published a list of the most important functions. According to him, the Apple Watch Series 6 will have a sleep monitoring function and will be able to measure the oxygen level in the blood. In addition, the new smartwatch will have an S6 chip and offer a significantly longer battery life. Basically, these are features that have already been speculated about several times. But the real highlight is function number 5. The Apple Watch Series 6 is supposed to be able to detect mental health abnormalities. In short: it detects panic attacks. As a result, the well-known Apple leaker Jon Prosser was tagged by a user and asked if it was true. According to Prosser, the leak is real.

Function would set new standards

According to this, it could actually be possible for the new Apple Watch to analyze the user's mental state and, in an emergency, notify family members or registered contacts if the wearer experiences a panic attack of any kind. The interesting thing is that the idea for such a function was only discussed a few weeks ago. If the leak is actually true, it would set a new standard in the field of health and wearables. So far, Apple has excelled with functions for physical health monitoring; expanding this to include mental health would be a huge leap forward. However, since there is no concrete evidence so far other than the statement, we should of course view the whole thing with skepticism, even though Prosser has verified the leak as genuine. After all, he could also be wrong. (Photo by Denys Prykhodov / Bigstockphoto)
