A few days ago, reports first surfaced about a new model in the AirPods series, the so-called "AirPods Pro Lite."
The Taiwanese news site DigiTimes has spoken out today in another report about the AirPods. According to the report, Apple is definitely planning new AirPods Pro. However, these are said to be a kind of entry-level version into the Pro world of AirPods. Initially, the report caused some confusion, but according to DigiTimes, these are not the third generation of the classic version. What the differences are compared to the well-known AirPods Pro, however, remains unknown. According to DigiTimes, production was planned to start in the second quarter of this year. However, this target is in jeopardy. The "AirPods Pro Lite" could go into production much later.
So far there is no confirmation
At the moment, we are finding it difficult to correctly classify the reports about an entry-level version of the AirPods Pro. So far, DigiTimes is the only one to make this claim. It cannot be ruled out that Apple is working on a third generation of AirPods - but a Lite version of the Pro series currently seems difficult to imagine - more details would be needed for this. In addition, a timely update of the AirPods Pro is not to be expected, as they were only released in October 2019.
