Apple introduced the second generation of AirPods on March 20th of this year - but there was no major innovation. Now analysts claim that the company will introduce the AirPods 3 at the end of this year - this is said to be the waterproof version of the popular earbuds.

On July 30th Apple will open its books and present its third-quarter figures. Analysts give their assessments in advance and often predict future developments. According to a report, analysts at Wedbush believe that Apple will introduce another pair of AirPods this year - the AirPods 3. Originally, many assumed that Apple would introduce new AirPods with many new features at the beginning of the year - the disappointment was great. According to Wedbush, the jump from the second to the third generation of AirPods will be larger.

They are becoming more expensive

The new earbuds will be waterproof for the first time and will have a new design. The AirPods 3 will also have new features - what these functions might be was not explained. Wedbush is also certain that the price of the AirPods 3 will increase again - but no specific amount was given. However, rumors about waterproof AirPods are not new - the question remains whether Apple will really release another AirPods generation in the same year - some expect an update in spring 2020 at the earliest.
