After WhatsApp has already introduced different playback speeds for voice messages, the company is now working on the so-called “global” voice message player.
As WABetaInfo now reportedWhatsApp is working on an improved version of its voice message player. Strictly speaking, it's supposed to be a "global voice message player." But what does that actually mean? According to the blog, the feature is called "global" because the voice message player will now be placed at the top of the application. This means it's always visible, no matter which section of the app is visited. This allows users to pause or stop voice messages at any time.
WhatsApp: Play voice messages app-wide
Basically, it's reminiscent of Telegram. In other words, you'll be able to listen to longer voice messages while you reply to messages in other chats or clean up your chat history - or whatever.
