The popular messenger WhatsApp seems to be testing a new feature that some users might particularly like: the so-called multi-device support.

A new WABetaInfo Article According to reports, WhatsApp has implemented the ability to link an account to multiple devices, including additional Mac devices, in its latest preview. A verification code would be required to establish the link, but details are unclear. Currently, WhatsApp requires a phone number to connect to an iPhone. Although it is possible to connect to a desktop application or the web using that device, users cannot use the same account on another phone without transferring the number.

When will WhatsApp be released on the iPad?

So if users lose their phone number, they practically lose their entire WhatsApp account. But this situation could soon change - according to WABetaInfo. The new interface is said to be similar to the existing one for WhatsApp Web. Although the function has been integrated into the current beta version, it is not available to testers. Therefore, details of how it works remain unknown for the time being. So whether the feature will actually be introduced in the end remains uncertain for the time being. Since such a system or a similar one for a link on the iPad Assuming this is the case, WhatsApp's recent efforts could be a hint - however, an iPad version could not be discovered. (Photo by Denys Prykhodov / Bigstockphoto)
