Dark Mode in the Facebook app. Does it exist or is it a myth? The answer is: Yes, it exists – but not officially yet.

Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp and Instagram already support Dark Mode, the main application of Facebook But now there is a first sign of life or proof of its existence. The Facebook developers have finally tackled the project. This means that the dark mode was only recently implemented. However, it is not officially available in either the final or beta version. But – 9to5mac has managed to activate the long-awaited dark mode alongside WABetaInfo. And this is what it looks like:

True black tone is missing

The color tone remains strange. As can be seen in the pictures, the dark mode appears to look slightly gray. Whether this is intentional remains to be seen. Perhaps Facebook will go one step further and add a real black tone. WABetaInfo noted that some UI elements need to be reworked, which is why this is not the finished version. It remains to be seen when the new look will be rolled out to beta testers. But one thing is clear - it exists and Facebook is finally working on it. (Photo by zurijeta / Bigstockphoto)
