The iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max are officially on sale today. It has now been announced that all three devices have a new dynamic power management system.
The new iPhone models are said to have been equipped with performance management - this consists of a software and hardware system. The details can be found in a newly published support document from Apple - as reported by 9to5mac. According to Apple, the new system should work automatically and be constantly active. According to the document, it is more advanced than its predecessors on older iPhone devices. It was specifically designed to deliver the best possible performance when the battery starts to age. The power consumption of the new iPhones is dynamically monitored - the performance should be controlled in real time - according to Apple.
Check the battery status yourself
Notice: All lithium-ion batteries have a limited lifespan – the aging of the batteries is ultimately always noticeable and can potentially have temporary effects on the performance itself. This means, for example, longer start-up times for apps, a lower frame rate or a dimmed backlight are to be expected. Of course, every user can check the battery status of their iPhone themselves – that goes like this.
Open the iOS settings and navigate to the menu item Battery. Now you can tap the “Battery status” area. Apple usually only recommends replacing the battery when the battery status itself has fallen below 80 percent – you can find out more about this topic in our extensive guide.
