Apple updates iWork for iOS 13 and iPadOS

Apple updated its iWork applications Pages, Numbers and Keynote for iOS 13 and iPadOS this evening.

One of the new main functions is of course the dark mode - if the dark mode is activated system-wide, the apps recognize this and switch to the dark style accordingly. Furthermore, Apple has added support for multitasking with today's update - access to external drives is now also possible. Pages 5.2 Release Note

  • Enable dark mode to make your content stand out.
  • With iPadOS, you can use Pages in multiple panes or edit two documents side by side in Split View.
  • Benefit from support for the new text editing and navigation gestures in iOS 13 and iPadOS.
  • Set the default font and font size to use for all new documents created with simple templates.
  • Use custom fonts that you installed from the App Store.
  • Take a screenshot of an entire document, add markup, and easily share it as a PDF.
  • Access files from a USB drive, external hard drive, or file server.
  • Listen to an audio representation of your diagram using VoiceOver.
  • Add descriptions for audio and video content and drawings for accessibility.
  • Access exported PDFs more easily with improved accessibility.
  • Take advantage of support for HEVC formatted movies, which reduces file size while maintaining visual quality.
  • Select multiple objects by pressing the Shift or Command key on a hardware keyboard.
