The new Siri Remote, which was introduced with the new Apple TV 4K, is causing problems for some users. According to reports, the new touch-based clickpad is occasionally not working properly.
The Apple TV 4K update introduced a new design for the Siri Remote, using a circular clickpad, as well as a new gesture that transforms the pad into a large "scroll wheel." A circular gesture allows users to easily rewind and fast-forward. However, posts on Twitter and Reddit show that users are trying out the gesture and getting unexpected results. For example, one user asks Twitter:

Apple TV Siri Remote: Is this a system-wide bug?
Does anyone else have strange scrolling behavior with the new Apple TV 4K and the Siri Remote? When I try to scroll with the new clickwheel, it always scrolls back and forth. Happens with various apps like Disney Plus and Netflix. Did you also notice this in your test?
Interestingly, I haven't been able to identify the problem yet. A look at the reports also shows that the problem is not limited to a specific app. This means that this strange behavior can probably occur with all video applications. If this is a system-wide error that occurs sporadically, which is what it currently looks like, Apple could certainly fix the whole thing with a tvOS update. If there is any further news on this, we will of course report on it as always. (Image: Apple)
