Apple's payment service was introduced in the USA in October 2014. Now Apple Pay is coming to Germany soon – finally!

With Apple Pay, iPhones and Apple Watches can replace debit or credit cards. Simply holding the device up to the terminal initiates the payment process. On Monday, November 5th, Apple published a list of participating banks in this country for the first time. Some of these banks have already informed their customers about the imminent market launch via newsletter.

A move is possible

Now there is good news for Boon customers. Some of the fans were so impatient that thanks to the Wirecard provider they can now use Apple Pay in advance in this country via a foreign account. It was announced on the official websites of Boon and Apple that all users will be able to move their accounts to Germany.

As soon as Apple Pay and the Boon app go live in Germany, every user will be free to switch their foreign account to Germany with just one click. Since there are always interesting cashback promotions with local providers, a transfer would be advisable.

Apple devices here aren't test units for a fortnight but everyday tools: from the iPhone to the MacBook Pro, MacBook Air and iMac through to the Apple Vision Pro, at least one device from nearly every product category is in daily use, many of them replaced annually. Every menu path in a guide is verified on the device before it goes live.
