If you use Apple Arcade or are thinking about giving it a try, August 7th is worth a look. Four new games will be released on the platform that day. As always with Apple Arcade, they're ad-free, have no in-app purchases, and focus on quality. Whether you're looking to be creative, enjoy strategy, or just want to play a few rounds, the new titles have plenty to offer.
Apple Arcade is a games subscription from Apple with over 200 titles for iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, and Vision Pro. The service costs €6.99 per month and offers unlimited access to all games in the catalog. There's also a free one-month trial. Anyone who buys a new Apple device gets three months free. The new games on August 7th further expand the selection—this time with a creative crafting game, a new installment in the Worms series, a cat adventure in space, and a modern version of shogi.
Play-Doh World: Crafting and playing in a safe environment
Play-Doh World, developed by Scary Beasties, brings the well-known modeling clay to the digital world. You can create your own Play-Doh figures and watch them come to life. The game features dozens of interactive zones where you can perform various activities—for example, inventing zoo animals or styling hair in the virtual salon. There are special collectible figures and regular content updates. The game is aimed primarily at younger players or anyone who enjoys being creative.
Worms Across Worlds: Strategy with cult factor
Worms Across Worlds was developed by StoryToys and Behaviour Interactive. It expands the popular Worms series with a new, strategic, turn-based action game. The story: Professor Worminkle is experimenting with space and time, which threatens the world. You play as the familiar worm characters and chase the professor through five different dimensions. The game can be played solo or in multiplayer with up to four teams. Each world brings new challenges and tactical possibilities.

Let's Go Mightycat!: Puzzle meets cat chaos
Let's Go Mightycat! is from the PONOS Corporation and is a spin-off of The Battle Cats. Here, you transform a normal cat into a galactic hero through an all-powerful being. The cat gets capes, collects friends, and travels across different planets. The levels are colorful puzzles that take you step by step. The goal is to bring the entire universe under the control of the cat empire. The game is quirky, colorful, and offers plenty of challenges for fans of original puzzle games.
Everybody Shogi: Traditional game reimagined
Everybody Shogi from AltPlus Inc. takes the classic Japanese strategy game Shogi and packages it with modern graphics and simple controls. The game features puzzle levels, daily challenges, unlockable pieces, and the ability to build your own decks. You can compete against other players online, with cross-device play. The game is suitable for beginners and advanced players who want to think tactically in a relaxed atmosphere.
