Apple announced yesterday evening that seventh beta of iOS 13 and iPadOS for developers and public testers. Some bugs were fixed and additional functions were added and optimized - a leak was also found.

As expected, Apple has started a new beta round. The changes are somewhat smaller than in the previous versions. This is because the beta is now in an advanced phase. Nevertheless, some new features and optimizations in the seventh beta of iOS 13 and iPadOS are worth mentioning. It is noticeable that Apple has reversed some changes from the sixth beta. For example, the folder transparency was revised in the sixth beta of iOS 13 and iPadOS. The folder backgrounds adapted to the actual home screen. Apple has now reversed the change - the folders appear normal again.

Dark Mode – The name of Dark Mode in Control Center has been optimized in the seventh beta of iOS 13 and iPadOS.

News – In the seventh beta of iOS 13 and iPadOS, it is again possible to delete attachments in the Messages application. To remove photos or other attachments from the respective chat, simply tap the small "i" symbol. All files are then listed further down. By long-pressing the respective file, a submenu opens - this allows the attachment to be deleted directly.

Blocked senders in emails – A new option was added in the seventh beta of iOS 13 and iPadOS. This allows you to specify what happens to messages from blocked senders. Users can move them to the trash or mark them as blocked and keep them in the inbox - the latter is the default option.

Mute unknown callers – The “Mute unknown callers” option introduced in iOS 13 has been slightly optimized in the new beta version. If the feature is activated, iOS now displays a revised information text indicating that incoming calls from people in contacts, recent outgoing calls and Siri suggestions are not filtered. You can find out how to activate the feature here here.

photos – If you click on the “All Photos” selection in the main area of the Photos app, the images are no longer displayed in thumbnail view but as a grid with three photos per row. You can find all the new features in Photos under iOS 13 here.

Find My - The "Notify me when found" option has been updated with the latest beta - it now works again. A new section called "Help a Friend" has also been added. This opens iCloud.com so the person can sign in themselves.

Do not disturb – The Do Not Disturb option has been redesigned. A bug was affecting synchronization between iPhone and Apple Watch. This has now been fixed.

Notice: As usual, a beta should not be installed on a device that is actively in use, as these usually have errors and can lead to restrictions in use - we recommend a second device for this. We also advise against searching for beta profiles on the Internet as an unregistered developer - that's what the Public Beta Program is for. You can find out how you can take part in such a beta test hereWhen Apple will officially release the final version of iOS 13 and Co. you can here read it.
