Apple recently introduced the 14-inch MacBook Pro, the iPad Pro, and the Vision Pro with the new M5 chip. But the year is apparently not over for Apple yet. Various rumors indicate that the company could announce more devices before the end of the year. In particular, the HomePod mini, the Apple TV, and the AirTag are expected to be released in new versions soon. At the same time, there are hints of major updates in 2025 and early 2026, which could affect, among other things, new MacBooks and displays.
Apple has been pursuing a clear strategy for years: Existing products are regularly redesigned, and new technologies are gradually integrated into the entire ecosystem. The focus is increasingly on in-house chip development and the planned introduction of Apple Intelligence – an advanced version of Siri with AI support. Many of the upcoming devices are said to be designed precisely for this purpose. Rumors indicate that Apple is not resting on its recent successes but is already working on the next generation of products.
HomePod mini: More power and smarter features
A major update is apparently imminent for the HomePod mini. According to internal information, the device will be equipped with a new S9 chip or possibly an N1 chip. The N1 chip is expected to support Wi-Fi 7, enabling faster connections. Sound quality is also expected to be improved, and a second-generation ultra-wideband chip is expected to offer more precise proximity capabilities. Furthermore, the new HomePod mini is expected to support the upcoming version of Siri with Apple Intelligence. This revamped voice control won't be officially launched until next year, but could already be integrated into the new HomePod. There's also talk of new color options, such as red. Initial indications of dwindling stock levels suggest that a product change is imminent.

Apple TV: Faster, smarter and maybe with a camera
The Apple TV is also apparently about to receive an update. A model with the A17 Pro chip is planned, which offers the same processing power as the iPhone 15 Pro. The new chip is expected to not only offer increased speed but also support the upcoming version of Siri with Apple Intelligence. This could enable the Apple TV to be more closely connected to other devices. The new N1 chip with Wi-Fi 7 is also said to be on board, enabling streaming with greater stability and lower latency. There are also rumors of an integrated FaceTime camera, which would enable video calls directly on the TV. However, it is unclear whether this feature will be included in the next generation. Apple TV stocks are also now dwindling in the US – a typical sign of an impending product update.
AirTag: Greater range and more security
A new AirTag model is also in the works. The next generation is reportedly expected to offer up to three times the range for locating objects. A tamper-proof speaker is also planned, making it more difficult to steal or open the device without authorization. Also new are warning notifications that will be triggered when the battery life is very low. This should make the AirTag more reliable and safer for everyday use.
Upcoming Mac and display models: 2025 and 2026 in focus
In addition to smaller products, Apple is apparently also working on larger hardware updates that are scheduled for release in late 2025 or early 2026. This includes a new MacBook, which is said to be equipped with an A18 Pro chip. This could be a more affordable model that makes it easier to enter the Mac world. Some reports even mention an A19 Pro chip, although this is still speculation. Also in the works is a new version of the Studio Display, which is said to be equipped with mini-LED backlighting and an A19 Pro chip. This combination would provide significantly better image quality. The Pro Display XDR is also scheduled to be redesigned. The next generation is expected to feature an integrated Center Stage camera, which would be particularly beneficial for video calls and creative applications.
However, things may remain quiet regarding Mac models until next year. While it would have been logical to update the iMac and Mac mini along with the new 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M5 chip, this step has apparently been postponed. Rumors suggest Apple plans to launch more powerful 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro models with M5 Pro and M5 Max chips in early 2026. The next MacBook Air and Mac Studio are also scheduled to be released in 2026. When the next Mac Pro will follow is still unclear.
Apple prepares the next wave of products
Apple remains on the move even after the launch of the M5 chip. The company is apparently working on several new devices that will expand and modernize its current product portfolio. In particular, the new HomePod mini, Apple TV, and AirTag are about to be unveiled. At the same time, Apple is laying the foundation for its next major steps in the coming years with new chips and displays. Since Apple often unveils new products in October or November and has even made announcements in December in the past, it's quite possible that more new products will be unveiled soon. The declining inventory levels in Apple Stores certainly support this assumption. A new phase in the Apple ecosystem is emerging for 2025 and 2026 – with more performance, better connectivity, and a clear focus on Apple Intelligence.
