Apple is showing a new side to itself in 2025 and is focusing more strongly on affordable products without cutting back on innovation. With a total of eight new or redesigned devices, Apple will integrate technologies such as OLED displays, Face ID and in-house chips into its affordable products for the first time. This development makes state-of-the-art technology accessible to a wider audience and sets new standards in the entry-level device sector. Find out what to expect in 2025 in this report.

Until now, Apple has been regarded as a provider of premium products with correspondingly high prices. But in 2025, the company is taking a new direction. In addition to the top models, Apple is launching a range of products on the market that impress with their low price and innovative functions. With low-cost alternatives for smartphones, tablets, smart home devices and more, Apple is positioning itself as a brand that makes high-quality technology accessible to everyone. The details of the eight new or improved products show how Apple combines affordable prices and cutting-edge technology. No area is left untouched: from the MacBook Air to the Apple Watch SE.

The new cost-effective products at a glance

MacBook Air (M4): More performance, same price

The MacBook Air 2025 will be equipped with the new M4 chip, which offers up to 25 % higher multi-core CPU performance. It comes with 16 GB of RAM as standard, which is sufficient even for demanding applications. Other new features include a 12-megapixel webcam with center stage and support for two external monitors - a feature previously only found in the Pro models. Despite these improvements, the starting price remains stable at 1,199 euros. The market launch is planned for spring 2025.

In terms of technology, Apple is relying on the powerful A18 chip and 8 GB RAM, combined with its own 5G modem chip, which enables fast and efficient internet. The camera is upgraded with 48 megapixels. The price will be between 500 and 600 euros, with release scheduled for March/April 2025.
