The popular Apple TV+ series “The Morning Show” was nominated for three Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAG).
The Screen Actors Guild Award is a film and television award presented annually by the American actors' association (SAG). SAG membership is required for working as an actor in the USA. Along with the Golden Globe, the Screen Actors Guild Award is considered a benchmark for the subsequent Academy Awards. It has now been announced that three of the "The Morning Show" actors have been nominated for this award. Jennifer Aniston, Steve Carell and Billy Crudup – who play Alex Levy, Mitch Kessler and Corey Ellison – have reportedly been nominated. The SAG nomination is for "Best Actor/Actress in a Television Series – Drama".
Not the first nominations
The Apple-produced TV+ series received three Golden Globe Award nominations just a few days ago. This suggests that Apple could cause a far greater stir next year than initially imagined. Whether "The Morning Show" will actually win any awards remains to be seen. However, the chances are not bad. Apple's path to Hollywood seems assured anyway. The SAG Awards will take place on January 19, 2020, while the Golden Globes will be presented on January 5, 2020. (Image: Apple TV+)
