watchOS 11 developer beta: Install and test now

At its WWDC keynote, Apple unveiled all of the new Apple Watch features coming this fall with watchOS 11. Some of the standout new features include new options for the Activity ring, such as rest days and custom daily goals, a Vitals app, and more. If you want to try out the latest features now, you can install the watchOS 11 developer beta. Here's how to download and install the developer beta, even if you're not a registered developer.

Before we begin, it's important to understand that beta software is often riddled with bugs and performance issues. Apple warns that the beta software is not intended for devices you rely on in everyday use. Requirements

During installation

  • Make sure your Apple Watch is at least 50 percent charged.
  • Hold your iPhone next to your Apple Watch to make sure they are within range.
  • Make sure you have a stable WiFi connection.
